Internship Award Descriptions

These awards are made available through generous alumnae, their families, and other friends of the College. Click on the name of the award to view this year's recepients.

Victoria Schuck Award
In support of future MHC interns in Washington who need assistance and for necessary administrative expenses.

Mildred Altman Award
Preference for students who are not receiving financial aid grants.

Marcy Wilkov Waterman Award
In support of MHC intern experience. This fund supports a variety of career interests and majors.

Ruth Lawson Award
To offer financial aid each year to one or more students working in developing countries.

Miriam C. Camps Award
For student summer, international or Washington, D.C. internships.

Nancy V. Brownell Award
To provide internship stipends to students. To supplement stipends students receive from the internship provider.

Katherine Adler Astrove Award
To support the continuity of MHC summer internship program to assist our students to find their way towards establishment of their own career. This benefit should go to students who are U.S. Citizens and are pursuing an internship in the United States. Additionally they should be earnest, sincere, and responsible in their career planning.

Paul F. McGuire Bequest Fund Award
To support student internships domestic or international.

Ruth Whittemore, M.D. Award
For students pursuing health sciences or medicine internships.

Margaret Andrews Winters Award
For a research opportunity in biochemistry or other sciences.

Feldman/Koster Fund Award  NEW!
For the purpose of granting stipends to students doing summer research at MHC or off campus. Preference given to biochemistry major. May provide living expenses for student doing volunteer work in sciences. For any biological science major. Beginning Summer 2007, one Mount Holyoke student will participate in lab research at the University of Georgia Marine Institute Sapelo Island (UGMI) with Dr. Melissa Booth. This lab-research internship includes free dormitory housing. The Feldman-Koster award is for a stipend and to assist with travel and living expenses.
