SENIORS from Bates, Colby, Holy Cross, Connecticut College, Mount Holyoke, Smith, Trinity and Union are invited to participate in the LARC Interview Program to be held on Friday, November 7th at the Courtyard by Marriott Boston Tremont Hotel. The Interview Program will be in the Washington Ballroom on the fifth floor of the Tremont Hotel.

Go to the fifth floor and check in at least 30 minutes before each interview at the Student Registration Table and sign in on the sheet with your college’s name on it. Fill out and wear a name tag. You will be instructed on where to wait for your interviews. Business attire (suits) is expected.

YOU MUST APPLY IN ADVANCE FOR INTERVIEWS. SEE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Go to http://larc.erecruiting.com/er/security/login.jsp

2. Click on “Create an Account” at the bottom left.

3. “Access token word” (CONTACT YOUR CAREER OFFICE TO OBTAIN IT)

4. “Register for an Account” – fill in all of the data fields, and click “Register”. Keep in mind that if you are a member of an eRecruiting school, the system requires unique usernames (no duplicates allowed).

5. “Please complete your profile” The system will ask you to fill out a few required profile fields (red dot next to the required fields) then click “next”. It is very IMPORTANT to have your email and phone numbers correct. This is how we can reach you for interviews.

6. “Your Experience Preferences”. If you choose not to answer any of these questions, there is an “I’d rather not say” option.

7. Once the required profile fields are complete, you will come to the Welcome Page, where you may upload your resume.

8. If you are ready to upload your materials, click “go” (see uploading your materials below). I If not, click on the “Home” link at the top of the page. From now on, you will come directly to this page when you log in.

9. There is a special search link set up for students: “BOSTON 2008 EMPLOYERS WITH INTERVIEWS” will show you all of the employers with application deadlines of Tuesday, October 14th.

10. If you click on the “employer name” link it will give you the overview of the employer. If you click on the “job title” it will link you to the job that the employer is hiring for. In the job section, you will find the complete contact information to address your cover letter and also the application materials needed to apply to the position. Look carefully as many employers are requiring transcripts and or writing samples.

 
UPLOADING YOUR MATERIALS
1. Go to “Documents” in the gray box across the top and click on “Upload a Document”. 

2. Select the type of document you wish to upload, and click “next”.

3. Click on “Browse”, find your document, click “open”, and then click on “upload”.

4. When your status says ready, your document is uploaded.

5. Follow these instructions to upload your resume, cover letter, transcript, and writing sample. You can have more than one resume and all of your cover letters in the system at the same time. Transcripts should be uploaded under “Other”.

6. IMPORTANT: By uploading, you HAVE NOT applied to any jobs!

 
APPLYING TO AN EMPLOYER
1. Once all of your materials have been uploaded you are now ready to apply to the position(s) that interest you.

2. As mentioned above click on the “BOSTON 2008 EMPLOYERS WITH INTERVIEWS” and it will pull up the employers with the October 14th deadline.

3. One at a time, click on all of the jobs that interest you and scroll to the bottom of each job.  You will see the “How to Apply” box.  In this box it will tell you all of the “application requirements” and “other requested materials”.  Make sure that you have all of the required materials uploaded into the system and click “apply”.

4. Pick the correct resume, cover letter, and other materials needed by highlighting the name of each material.  Finally, click “submit”.  NOW you have applied to the employer.  Do the same for each employer that you wish to submit an application.

5. “If you have any questions, please contact your career office.
