Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Service The life
and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be celebrated
in music and dance in a service featuring African drumming by
the Bambidele Drummers of Amherst; a reflection on Kings
"Dream" speech by the Rev. Robert Grant of Northampton;
songs by the Joyful Noise Gospel Choir of the First Churches of
Northampton; and modern dance by Dance Connecticuts Youth
Performance Project. Emcees for the event will be Rev. Dr. Sherry
Turner, the Colleges ombudsperson, and Frances Wood of Atlanta.
Now in its sixth year, the event draws more than 200 people, many
from the surrounding community. Free and open to the public; children
