The Vagina Monologues to Be Performed February 12–14

The MHC chapter of the national V-Day College Campaign will present The Vagina Monologues, directed by Lori Feldstein ’04. Perfor-mances will be Thursday, February 12, and Friday, February 13, at 8 pm, and Saturday, February 14, at 2 pm in Chapin Auditorium.

V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. By raising money and awareness, V-Day unifies and strengthens antiviolence efforts throughout the world. Eve Ensler, the author of the Obie Award-winning The Vagina Monologues, has generously made her play available to V-Day as the basis for its benefit productions.

The V-Day campaign is in its sixth year at Mount Holyoke, the first of the Five Colleges to participate in the national campaign.

The Mount Holyoke production last year resulted in a sizable donation to Womanshelter/Compañeras in Holyoke, Massachusetts, one of the leading organizations in support of battered women in western Massachusetts.

Tickets, $5 for students and $6 for the general public, are available at Blanchard from 9 am to 5 pm weekdays, and will be sold at the door. Chapin Auditorium is accessible by wheelchair.he
