Not only have applications to
the College for the class of 2004 shattered all records, they have
exceeded all predictions. One of the goals of The Plan for 2003 is to
reach 2,600 applications by 2003. Last week, the Office of Admission
received its 2,600th application for the academic year 2000 - 2001,
reaching the goal three years early. "We can all be proud to be a
part of this wonderful success story, particularly in light of
ever-increasing competition in the higher education marketplace,"
says Jane Brown, dean of enrollment. "The admission office is to be
commended along with the many other MHC community members--faculty,
staff, students, and alumnae-- who participated in the College's
recruitment programs."
