Bonde to Perform Original Composition March 7 in South Hadley Allen Bonde, MHC professor of music, has received a commission from St. Theresa's Church in South Hadley to write a solo piece for the dedication of the church's new piano. The commissioned work, titled Reflections in the Spirit, is in three movements, each based on a different fragment of Gregorian chant. The chant serves as either a theme, a motive, or both, to tie the movement together. The work will premiere as part of a dedicatory recital to be performed by Bonde and his wife, Maria Kusmerick Bonde, Tuesday evening, March 7, at the church. The concert is free and open to the public.
