New
Lunch Service Offered in Kendade
A light lunch is being served
in the Marion Craig Potter '49 atrium of Kendade Hall Monday–Friday,
11 AM–2 PM. The menu features a variety of sandwiches,
including meat, vegetarian, and vegan offerings; a couple of
entrée salads; snacks; chips; yogurt; fresh fruit; cookies;
and bottled beverages. Additionally, a daily sandwich and salad
special is being offered. The full menu is available on the Dining
Services web site.
Lunch is available to students,
staff, and faculty; cash, Dining Dollar$, and MHCXpress are accepted.
Students may use this service as a board plan option for lunch.
Like the Torrey "grab
and go," a certain number and quantity of items will constitute
a meal.
The Kendade lunch is staffed and produced by the Torrey dining
hall staff. To accommodate the new arrangement, Torrey dinner "grab
and go" service, which had extremely low participation,
has been suspended so that the Torrey staff can attend to the
food preparation needs of Kendade and the Torrey "grab and
go" lunch.
The new lunch is a pilot program to help the College assess the feasibility of
having food service in an academic building. If the pilot is successful, the
College will make the Kendade light lunch a regular dining option.
