Clothing Drive for F.R.E.S.H. Start March 5–14

EXTENDED!!!!

The Community Service Volunteer Program and the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life are sponsoring a clothing drive for residents of F.R.E.S.H. Start, a a new program in South Hadley that serves eighteen young women, ages twelve through eighteen, who have committed minor offenses. Needed most are jeans, T-shirts, and sleepwear (especially sizes 12–14).

Collection boxes will be in dorms and academic buldings, as well as in Eliot House, Blanchard Campus Center, and Mary Woolley Hall. For more information, contact Jamie Miller at x6039, Judith Ellenburg at 534-1565, or Anita Magovern at x2787.

Financial Aid Reminders Upperclass financial aid reminder letters for the 2001–2002 academic year were mailed March 14. All reminder letters have been sent to students’ campus post office boxes, not to their home addresses.

Become a Sexual Health Educator Teach others about safer sex, women’s health concerns, gynecological exams, and sexually transmitted infections. Applications are available outside room 112, Blanchard Campus Center, and room 131, Health Center, as well as online on the Health Services Web site at www.mtholyoke.edu/offices/health. The application deadline is April 4. For more information contact health education coordinator Karen Jacobus at kjacobus@mtholyoke.edu.

Evelyn Finkbeiner Fellowship The Department of German Studies invites German studies majors planning to study in Germany in 2001–2002 to apply for the Evelyn Finkbeiner Fellowship for Study Abroad. Application requirements are an up-to-date transcript; information on other funding available for study abroad; and a short statement in German explaining how the fellowship will foster and support academic plans for study in Germany. The application deadline is March 30.
