New Annual Awards for Faculty

For the past six years, Mount Holyoke faculty members have gathered each spring to celebrate their accomplishments as scholars, artists, and performers. This year, the celebration will begin with the presentation of the first four new annual awards for scholarship and teaching. All are invited to the event on Wednesday, March 29, at 4:00 pm in the Williston Library's Stimson Room. A reception after the award presentations will be held in the library court. In advance of the event, all faculty are encouraged to bring new publications, works in progress, and other professional accomplishments to Susan Perry, college librarian, in the Williston Memorial Library by March 24. Nancy Birkrem, cataloguing and special collections librarian, will coordinate the event exhibition and bibliography. The award winners for 2000 have been selected by the Faculty Awards Committee, professors emeriti, and Donal O'Shea, the dean of faculty. Nominations were solicited last spring and summer from faculty and alumnae of classes of '94 through '99.
