Management installs one of the forty-eight new banners that will
soon hang in twenty four locations around campus. The colorful
panels were produced by the Office of Communications to highlight
the strengths of the College and enliven the landscape. The banners
represent the following core institutional messages that are serving
as the foundation of the College's integrated communications initiative:
MHC is one of the nation's finest liberal arts colleges; the College
is a place where important connections are made; MHC is a global
community; the College is technologically advanced; and MHC is
distinguished in developing women leaders. "In combination,
the themes portrayed in the banners describe an institution uniquely
positioned to graduate independent critical thinkers, who speak
and write powerfully, who are technologically savvy, and who are
distinguished by their ability to lead in a complex, pluralistic
world," notes Patricia VandenBerg, executive director of
communications and strategic initiatives.
