Guster to Give Concert at Mount Holyoke April 13

Guster/cropped Guster, a pop/rock band that recently sold out the 2,800-capacity Orpheum Theater in Boston and the 2,950-capacity Palladium in Worcester, will appear in concert at Chapin Auditorium Thursday, April 13, at 8 pm. Doors will open at 7 pm. Special guests Luna and Josh Rouse will open the show.

Guster features the unique instrumentation of two acoustic guitars and a set of bongos and congas. Its three members--Ryan Miller, Adam Gardner, and Brian Rosenworcel --met at Tufts University in 1992 and recruited award-winning producer Mike Denneen for the band's 1994 debut recording, titled Parachute. After selling 25,000 copies of the record, Guster signed with Hybrid/Sire Records and released the group's debut major-label album Goldfly. The band's third and current record, Lost and Gone Forever, was released in September.

Tickets are $17.50 in advance and went on sale March 3 at B-Side Records in Northampton, For The Record in Amherst, and all Strawberries record stores.
