Lights! Camera! Reading! Philosophy Professor Thomas Wartenberg will read from his book The Philosophy of Film: Introductory Texts and Readings at the Odyssey Bookstore at 7 pm on Wednesday, April 27. The book draws upon readings from philosophy, film studies, and film criticism. Organized around a series of philosophical questions about film, it presents an accessible and engaging overview of the discipline. Offering clear and helpful section introductions and thought-provoking reading questions, this book is the ideal primary textbook for undergraduate courses on the philosophy of film or philosophically oriented courses in film theory.

Convention Chair Scott Brown, director of the Career Development Center, served as chair for the annual national convention of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) in Nashville, Tennessee, April 2–6. A planning team of 30 worked for nearly two years to prepare for this year's conference, which drew 4,300-plus participants from every state in the nation, four countries abroad, and 350-plus educational programs.
