In
1997, the College adopted a six-year comprehensive blueprint for
Mount Holyoke's future. This year marks the completion of that
initiative, the highly successful Plan for Mount Holyoke 2003,
which has had an impact on virtually every area of College life.
As the College stands on the threshold of embarking on The Plan
for Mount Holyoke 2010 (the board is set to vote on it this weekend),
President Joanne V. Creighton felt it was "important to acknowledge
the hard work of the community in bringing to fruition the goals
of The Plan for Mount Holyoke 2003 and the overall success of
the Plan." To this end, the president is sponsoring a special
picnic for the MHC community. Set for Tuesday, May 6, from 11:30
am to 1:30 pm on Pageant Field, which is located behind Gettell
Amphitheater, the picnic will feature live music and great food.
There will even be commemorative souvenirs. more>
