Budget Open Forum
An open forum on the 2004–2005 budget will be held Friday, May 14, at 2 pm in Dwight 101. Mary Jo Maydew, vice president for finance and administration, will speak about the next fiscal year’s budget and answer questions.

Extensions for Incomplete Work
Faculty legislation stipulates that an instructor may report a student’s work as incomplete only if the student has received an excuse from the director of the Health Center or the dean of the College because of an emergency. This means that instructors may not accept exams or papers due in lieu of exams, after noon on Thursday, May 13 (Wednesday, May 12, for seniors), unless authorized by the director of the Health Center for medical reasons, or by one of the academic deans in the dean of the College’s office for emergencies.

Annual Benefits Open Enrollment
The annual open enrollment for employee benefits began May 1and runs through May 31. Stop in the human resources department if you would like to make any changes in your benefits for the fiscal year 2004–2005. Open-enrollment information can also be found on the human resources Web page after May 1.

Annual Benefits Fair
The annual Benefits Fair will be held on Thursday, May 13, from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm at Willits-Hallowell Center. New additions include local banks and a massage therapist. Don’t miss raffles for Red Sox tickets, a golf shirt, a CD player, and much more.

Summer Office Hours
Beginning Monday, May 24, through Friday, August 27, summer hours will be in effect for Mount Holyoke offices. The core office hours will be 8:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, and all offices must be fully staffed during these hours. Full-time employees will continue to work 7.5 hours per day; therefore, individuals may choose to start work at 7:30 am, 8 am, or 8:30 am and work through 4 pm, 4:30 pm, or 5 pm depending on whether they choose a 30- or 60-minute lunch break. Flexibility in scheduling is encouraged in order to meet individual employee preferences and the needs of the department.
