Theatre Auditions For a staged reading of Folding, a senior thesis
project written and directed by Leah Maxwell ’04. This absurdist
romp features two laundresses folding their way through eternity
in a Sisyphean laundry room built only for them. Or is it? Callbacks
will be September 6. Roles for four women. Rehearsals begin immediately.
Performances: September 27 and 28. *Rooke Theatre, 8 pm.

Auditions and Info Session—Five College Early Music Program
Learn
about the fall offerings of the Five College Early Music Program
(for UMass, Hampshire College, and MHC credit), including the
Collegium (for violin band, loud band, other instruments, and
mixed choir), rehearsing Tuesday evenings at UMass; Baroque/Classical
Chamber Music, rehearsing on your campus at mutually agreed upon
times; Women’s Vocal Ensemble; Seventeenth-Century Solo,
Duo, and Trio Seminar for singers and keyboard players; Renaissance
Dance Class; viol and recorder consorts; other chamber ensembles;
and group and private lessons. There are openings for singers
and instrumentalists of all sorts. Sign up on the sheets provided
at each Five College music department and come to a scheduled
painless audition and information session. Room 210, *Pratt Hall,
