Many Minds" A discussion about the rewards and challenges
of membership in the multicultural community of Mount Holyoke.

of the Mount Holyoke College Glee Club, and members of the Glee

Play Right
It started one night with alcohol and flirtation ... and ended
with a conflicting story. Who's telling the truth? This performance
by Equalogy will be followed by a panel discussion about campus
resources with Public Safety, the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program

Reflections on
the "Common Read" A panel of faculty, staff, students,
and alumnae reflect on their reading of Barbara Ehrenreich's Nickel
and Dimed: On (Not) Getting by in America. Small group discussions
led by students will follow the panel. Ehrenreich will read from

Excelling at Mount
Holyoke A crucial session for all new Mount Holyoke students.
This event will provide a foundation for your first year at the
College. Gamble Auditorium, *Art Building, 1 pm.
Convocation
Join faculty, staff, and students for the ceremony opening the
academic year. Following convocation, there will be a ribbon-cutting
ceremony at Kendade Hall, which will be open for viewing.
A picnic on Skinner Green will follow the Kendade event. Rain

Honor Code Ceremony
The honor code ceremony is an opportunity for incoming students
to become better acquainted with the honor code. A panel of members
from the CSA, SGA, and AAB and the dean will discuss their role
in relation to the code. Following the panel discussion, new students
will sign the honor code. First-year students will be met by their
"big sister" and taken to an ice cream social. Chapin

Big Sister Little
Sister Ice Cream Social The class of 2004 invites all new
students to join in celebrating the big sister/little sister tradition

Auditions for Thomas
Cole, A Waking Dream A play, written (in verse) and
directed by Donald T. Sanders, about the American landscape painter
Thomas Cole. The play incorporates Cole's own words and those
of his contemporaries and brings to life the artist's point of
view and his career. An ensemble piece with multiple roles that
requires eight women and eight men, including a young boy and
an older man. Actors also play a variety of historical characters
and personifications. Auditions: 9/6, 710 pm and 9/7, 14

in Show Business A comedy about life and theatre, actors
