Reflect on Their
Second*Saturday Experiences
Hundreds of new MHC
students took to the road last Saturday, September 13, to experience
the mountains, museums, and community-service opportunities that
the Pioneer Valley offers, as part of the Second*Saturday orientation
program. Catharine Melhorn, Second*Saturday coordinator and Hammond-Douglass
Professor of Music, was pleased that the program, which helps
students make off-campus connections, was such a success. Here
is a collection of student reflections and photographs that capture
the spirit of the day.
“I liked
being outdoors and getting dirty; being in a good, healthy place
where I believe in the cause and lifestyle; and meeting people
who felt the same way.”
