Preparing Images for the Web in Photoshop Workshop for faculty and staff. "The Story of 'Stopped Light' " Lecture by Ron Walsworth, lecturer, department of astronomy, Harvard University, and physicist, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. Walsworth will discuss experiments in which a pulse of light has been "stopped" in specially prepared atomic ensembles and then reaccelerated on demand.
