Orchids for Tourists Orchids, the magazine of the American Orchid Society, lists Mount Holyoke’s collection in The Orchid Tourist, its new guide to public orchid collections in the United States and Canada. According to the guide, which appears in the September 2000 issue of Orchids, MHC boasts “132 genera, 460 species, and 480 taxa” of orchids at Talcott Greenhouse.
