Flu (Influenza) Vaccine Available at Health
Center The MHC Health
Center is now booking appointments for the flu vaccine to be
administered on Friday, October 24, and Friday, November 7. The
cost is $15. Please call the Health Center at x2121 to make your
appointment. There are limited amounts of the vaccine available,
so call as soon as possible. The Massachusetts Department of
Public Health recommends that the following groups of people
receive the vaccine: people over 50 years old; those with heart
disease, cystic fibrosis, asthma, lung disease, diabetes, kidney
disease, and immune system disorders; or any healthy person (age
5-49) who wants to avoid getting the flu. For more information,

Memorial Service for Mount Holyoke President David Bicknell
Truman
A memorial service for David Bicknell Truman will be held on
Monday, October 20, at 4 pm in Abbey Chapel. Mr. Truman served
as president of the College from 1969 to 1978. He died on August
28 in Sarasota, Florida, at the age of 90. For more information,
