Eleanor Smeal to Speak on October 20
Eleanor Smeal, president
of the Feminist Majority Foundation and former president of
NOW, will speak at Mount Holyoke October 20 at 7:30 pm in Gamble
Auditorium. A leading women’s rights activist for over
two decades, Smeal will address the recent restrictions on
reproductive freedom, how the rights of young adults are particularly
threatened, and how to become involved in the fight to protect
reproductive rights. This event is part of the "Meet
Up. Mobilize. March." tour sponsored by the Feminist
Majority, NOW, Planned Parenthood, and NARAL to promote the
March for Reproductive Choice in Washington, D.C., on April
25, 2004.
