MHC's dance department will present its annual faculty dance concert November 9–11 at 8 pm at the Kendall Hall Studio Theatre. Ballet faculty Rose Marie Wurzer and Charles Flachs will perform the dynamic ballet Un Bolero Azul, by Jin-Wen Yu, and have collaborated in the creation of a new ballet for MHC students. Professors Terese Freedman and Jim Coleman will dance the stunning duet Surfacing, which was choreographed by Freedman. Musician and dance department lecturer Peter Jones will present a work created for students from his class Analysis of Rhythm, and Jim Coleman will premiers an inventive contemporary group work utilizing the “intrinsic qualities of the dance students,” according to the dance department. In addition, guest jazz/tap artist Pamela Raff will perform with music professor Allen Bonde. Ticket prices are $7 for general admission and $5 for students, seniors, and children.
