NEWMAC Champs The MHC field hockey team won the NEWMAC championships
on Sunday, November 9, for the second time in three years, and
clinched an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.
The team will head to Maryland to face Salisbury University Friday,
November 14, in the second round of nationals.
Awesome Auction Glee Club members are working hard to replenish
the Choral Music Fund, which, for 30 years, has provided scholarships
for off-campus choral tours. The club will hold an “Awesome
Auction” in Blanchard Great Room on Wednesday, November
19, in two sessions: 12:15–1 pm and 6–7 pm. Celebrity
auctioneers, including Rochelle Calhoun ’83, Eleanor Townsley,
David Sanford, and Kristen Schafenacker ’05, will take
bids on goods and services donated from across the Pioneer Valley.
This event will help send the Glee Club and College orchestra
to Florida in January 2004. Both auction sessions are open to
the public.
