“Alternative Treatments for Psychosis” A community dialogue with Professor Gail Hornstein; speakers from the Freedom Center, an advocacy group run by and for people with severe mental illness diagnoses; psychiatrist Daniel Dorman, author of Dante’s Cure: A Journey Out of Madness; and Catherine Penney, who was diagnosed as a chronic schizophrenic and successsfully treated with psychotherapy and without the use of drugs. Penney, who was treated by Dorman, now works as a nurse and patient's advocate.
