Holyoke United Way Campaign Exceeds Goal
Mount
Holyoke faculty, staff, students, and emeriti rose to the occasion
this fall, giving generously and putting the College's United
Way Community Campaign over the top. The annual fall employee
fund drive, administered by the United Way of the Pioneer Valley,
surpassed the goal of $35,000 by more than $5,000. The total raised
was $40,166, and 213 College employees contributed to the drive,
which supports 153 nonprofit programs in twenty-five local communities.
Donations ranged from $2 to $4,500.
President Joanne V.
Creighton praised the MHC community for its civic-mindedness and
caring. "It is testimony to our esprit de corps and culture
of giving back that we were able to meet and exceed this year's
United Way goal."
Anyone making a contribution
