College
to Celebrate Holiday Season with Winterfest
Great
food and great conversation highlight the annual Winterfest celebration,
Mount Holyoke's holiday party of food and fellowship for
faculty and staff. Set for Wednesday, December 18, from 11:30
am to 1:30 pm in Mary Woolley Hall's Chapin Auditorium, the
event also offers the opportunity for members of the Mount Holyoke
community to support some of the College's neighbors in need.
Offices will close during Winterfest so that all staff may attend.
Kendall and the library will be kept open, since Winterfest is
held in the middle of exam week. The Office of the President and
Staff Council sponsors the celebration, which includes a hearty
lunch buffet.
As in past years,
the College is encouraging donations to local charities. This
year, donations will support Holiday Gifts for Children, which
requests unwrapped items for children, such as games, puzzles,
and toys; For Our Homeless and Needy Neighbors, which asks for
coats, spices, seasonings, toiletries, white hand towels and washcloths,
and heavy shower curtains; and Womanshelter/Compañeras,
which would welcome personal hygiene products and slippers for
women and children.
