Employees Recognized at Winterfest

On Friday, December 16, faculty and staff will celebrate Winterfest, an annual event which honors the common values of religious holidays traditionally celebrated in December, recognizes employee service, celebrates diversity, and serves the greater community.

Individuals who have been employed at the College for twenty, twenty-five, thirty, and thirty-five years will receive special recognition through the Employee Service Awards Program at Winterfest to be held from 3 to 5 PM at Chapin Auditorium in Mary Woolley Hall. Employees with five, ten, and fifteen years of service to the College will be recognized at a breakfast on Monday, December 19, at Willits-Hallowell Center.

This year, the Winterfest Committee asks members of the Mount Holyoke community to bring canned foods to the celebration. These foods will be donated to Open Pantry, a nonprofit, community organization which provides a wide variety of services to the hungry, homeless, and disadvantaged in the greater Springfield area. Its services, including shelter and meal programs, are intended to help families and individuals meet basic needs and make positive changes on the path to economic self-sufficiency.
