Workers on the President's House Unite&emdash;President Joanne
Creighton
hosted a January reception for members of Buildings and Grounds staff who
worked on the extensive renovations and repairs to the President's House.
Creighton thanked staff members for their work&emdash;on a home which had
not undergone significant remodeling in seventeen years&emdash;and stressed
her intention of using the President's House as a facility central to the
life of the College. Paul Breen, project engineer, coordinated the undertaking
and praised the work of the Buildings and Grounds staff
Layla Rouse '98 (left) and Elysia Lindfield '98 take the
midafternoon
shift in the twenty-four-hour Row-a-Thon which aimed to raise $3,000 on February
2&endash;3. Most of the proceeds will reduce the amount crew team members
pay toward their spring training on Virginia's Occoquan Reservoir. Ten percent
of the money will be donated to Holyoke Girls Inc
