Mount Holyoke Employees Social Committee Scholarship Fund

The Mount Holyoke College Employees Social Committee Scholarship Fund, a $200 scholarship in honor of David B. Truman, president emeritus, is awarded each year to a qualified daughter, son, or other dependent child of a College employee who is not eligible for the Mount Holyoke subsidy for tuition costs. The scholarship is for study at an accredited school for postsecondary education, and is administered in consultation with the College's director of student financial services. Determining factors are educational goals, high school achievement, and character. A candidate must be a high school senior. Applications for the scholarship are available at the Office of Student Financial Services, Skinner Hall. The completed application must be returned to financial services no later than May 10. Call x2789 or x2291 for more information.

Fleet Van Lines

Fleet vans are now available for rent. Use of these vehicles is restricted to official College business, and charges for their use will be made only to departments. The charge is thirty-five cents per mile. Fees include the cost of gasoline; any purchase of gasoline during a trip will be reimbursed by the motor pool fund with proper receipts. To reserve a van call x2826 between 10 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Vans are parked next to the greenhouse; keys can be picked up at public safety. All vans must be driven by a faculty or staff member, and must be returned with a full tank of gas. Fleet vans are different from the student activities van, which is only for student organization use. When picking up keys from public safety, please specify whether you are using the student activities van or a fleet van.
