Campus Web Choices
Expanded This Summer
If you've just arrived, just returned to campus, or if you haven't
looked at the College's World Wide Web site lately, there's a lot
that's new. Links to the items below, all added over the summer, can
be found by clicking the "check it out" icon on the home page
(http://www.mtholyoke.edu/cic).
- The 1996-97 course
catalogue is not only online, but it's also searchable by
course name and number, instructor's name, and by department. So
if you need an upper-level English course or you're dying for a
course with popular professor X, you can find what you're looking
for, fast.
- The second issue of
Vista,
the college's new alumnae publication, made it to the web even
before the paper version reached all campus mailboxes. It's filled
with news about the botanic gardens and greenhouse, Susan Scotto,
the critical social thought program, the class of 2000, student
research, campus news, and more.
- The Office of
Admissions recently added to their pages an online publication
(a brochure describing the College's academic offerings) and an
email form for prospective students to request information about
MHC.
- A new and improved version of the
campus map
includes parking spaces, bus stops, and emergency phone
locations, as well as the ability to "zoom in" to see more detail
in any section of the map.
- Whether you're looking for a work-study job or a permanent
career opening, the
Human Resources
home pages have information for you. There's also a list of the
office's staff and services, employee benefits and holidays, and
instructions for "telnetting" to the student employment database.
- Earlier summer additions include fifteen faculty profiles,
information on the library's archives and other special
collections, and the first issue of
Vista.
