Open Forum on MHC Planning Set for October 2

As part of the wide ranging discussions about the College's future, an all-campus forum has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 2 at 7:30 pm in the New York Room of Mary Woolley Hall. It will be "one of several opportunities this semester for MHC students to react to the Educational Priorities Committee's draft statement of mission and priorities and to discuss key issues facing the College," according to Phil Buchanan, assistant to the president.

President Joanne Creighton and other members of the Educational Priorities Committee (EPC) will be on hand to hear students' reactions, and treasurer Mary Jo Maydew and associate professor of economics Michael Robinson will talk about the financial condition of the College. The forum, which is cosponsored by the Student Government Association and the EPC, is intended primarily for students; the entire College community is welcome to attend.

Copies of the EPC draft statement can be obtained by calling the president's office at x2500, or by sending email to planning@mtholyoke.edu.
