Some 500 people are expected to come to campus for Family Weekend, to be celebrated October 4-6 with special events for parents and children alike. According to Family Weekend Committee chair Ellie Rounds '98, special features this year include receptions where families can meet MHC faculty on Friday and can have tea with the president on Saturday afternoon. Other weekend activities range from faculty seminars and open houses at several campus sites to a presentation of "weird science" and the annual crew regatta.
Rounds emphasizes that all events except the Capitol Steps concert are free and all are open to the entire College community, whether or not accompanied by family members.
