Auditions for Miguel Piñero's Short Eyes. Directed by Elizabeth "Simon" Ruchti. Roles for four African American women, four Caucasian women, and three Latina women. Short Eyes is a drama set in the day room of a house of detention, dealing with issues of race, class, sexual orientation, and gender. This play questions systems of oppression and the role of the oppressed within those systems. Rooke Theater, 7-10 pm.
