What's the status of the draft Plan for Mount Holyoke College 2003? The Educational Priorities Committee (EPC) held several intensive retreats during December and January to discuss changes proposed to the first draft, which was released in September for campus discussion. The EPC met alone and with the College's senior staff; the combined group is known as the College Planning Task Force.
This task force is now considering the proposed changes, which grew out of community comments made during first semester, and writing a revised draft. This second-round draft, which will be far more comprehensive and detailed than the first one, is expected to be presented for campus review and comment in mid-February. President Creighton promises "many opportunities for discussion" of the new draft during spring semester. The second draft will be reviewed by the trustees at their March meeting, and they will approve a final version in May.
