The campus community streamed through Blanchard on February 27 to share a cake in honor of Mary Lyon's 200th birthday. She was honored with a large chocolate and vanilla sheet-cake, made by dining services cooks, and decorated with chocolate College gates flanking Lyon's image. Her edible portrait was created by airbrushing blueberry stain onto white icing. Balloons wishing our founder a "Happy 200th" had to be custom made, since most birthday parties don't require imprinted balloons numbered higher than one hundred years.
The class of 1999 officers display their current class T-shirt at a pizza party held to discuss possible slogans for a new class tee. Anyone with ideas should contact one of the class officers.
