A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on April 30 at Abbey Chapel for Betty Nye Quinn, professor emeritus of classics. Quinn, who died on January 29, was a 1941 MHC alumna and joined the Mount Holyoke faculty in 1959. From 1965 to 1986, she chaired the classics department, and retired in 1991.
Among those participating in the memorial service will be: Dargan Jones, professor emeritus of classics; Bonnie Catto, professor of classics at Assumption College in Worcester; Cerise Jalelian-Keim '81; and Eugene Hill, professor of English.
