Conserving the conservatory
The conservatory section of the College
greenhouses is undergoing a complete renovation this spring and
summer. New wood and iron pieces will replace rotted and rusted
parts, plumbing and heating systems will be modernized, and the
structure will be fitted with new glass and repainted. Renovations to
the conservatory, which is believed to have been built in 1899, are
expected to continue at least through August.
