Exhibition Gotta-Have-It Ancient Inspiration: Artist Books by William Schade. Originally a printmaker, William Schade now makes artist's books and scrolls as well as paintings and sculpture, all in a witty, charming, and whimsical fashion. The themes frequently involve animals, whether real or imagined, and are inspired by fictive ancient texts that exist only in the mind of the artist.
