Stop, Starr In a March 23 editorial in the Providence Journal-Bulletin, politics professor Christopher Pyle argues that it's time for Kenneth Starr to stop investigating rumors about Clinton's private life. "If private persons cannot shield the intimate details of friendships with public persons, who will want to go into public life, or become close to anyone who does?" he asks. Pyle characterizes the investigation as having "nothing to do with justice" and says "the most Starr's investigation can do is mire the nation in pointless scandal for another two years ..." Therefore, he believes, "The time has come to say quite plainly to Mr. Starr: 'You have done enough. In the name of decency, sir, stop harassing these women and demeaning the nation. You have told us more than we ever needed to know. The time has come to move on.' "
