The CSJ calendar is now being compiled by a computer program used by the Office of Student Activities. All calendar listings must be received by Cindy Benoit in Student Activities (Blanchard) by the 3 pm Friday deadline. Exhibition Colleagues: The Mount Holyoke College Art Faculty. New work by members of the Mount Holyoke studio faculty will be the focus of this exhibition showcasing the artistic achievements of Nancy Campbell, Alexis Kuhr, Nathan Margalit, Marion Miller, Joseph Smith, and Carleen Sheehan. Continues through 3/12. Art Museum.
Exhibition Northern European Art from the Collection. Paintings, drawings, and prints by Dutch and Flemish artists of the 16th and 17th centuries will be on view, including works by Jacob Jordaens, Rembrandt, Joachim Wrewael, Hendrick Goltius, and others. Continues through 4/19. Art Museum.
Exhibition Berenice Abbott: The Camera Looks at Science. Best known for her extraordinary images of New York, Abbott was also a major pioneer in the field of scientific photography. Her pictures demonstrate the effect of magnetic fields, the movement of objects in space and the bending of light rays, proving that, in her words, "Photography is the medium uniquely qualified to unite art with science." Continues through 4/4. Art Museum.

Lecture "Strange Fruit." E. Patrick Johnson, Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Communication Studies, UNC-Chapel Hill. An exploration in identity politics in various communities. Questions are raised concerning essentialist notions of authentic blackness, masculinity, and sexuality. A performance using poetry, dance, music, and visual media. "Strange Fruit" interrogates the politics of race, gender, and sexual identity in black worlds, looking at the threatened "exorcisms" of one aspect of identity for the sake of the other(s).
