The board of trustees will gather for its regular May meeting this coming week. The board's agenda will include the items below, according to Assistant to the President and Secretary of the College Stephanie Hull.
*A draft of the facilities master plan will be discussed.
*The proposed fiscal year 2000 budget and capital budget will be considered. Treasurer Mary Jo Maydew says, "The budget being proposed meets the financial targets of the Plan for 2003 and makes progress toward many of the programmatic goals in the plan." An open forum to discuss the budget will be held on May 10 at 3:30 pm in the Andreola Room at Willits-Hallowell.
*A community celebration will be held at Porter Hall on May 8 following the naming ceremony for the Harriet L. and Paul M. Weissman Center for Leadership.
*The board will also consider some "department/program and other issues passed by the Academic Policy Committee," according to Dean of the Faculty Don O'Shea.
Trustees will also have a luncheon meeting with faculty and attend a dinner in honor of retiring members of the board. They are: Renee Scialom Cary '48 (a trustee 1994 - 99); Kathryn Eppston Rabinow '64 (a trustee 1986 - 89 and 1994 - 99) Richard F. Seamans (a trustee 1997 - 99); and Barbara Margulies Rossotti '61 (chair of the board 1994 - 99, vice chair of the board 1989 - 94, and a trustee 1984 - 99).
