Actor Mark Daniel Cade to Speak at MHC February 7

Marc Daniel CadeThe College will kick off its Black History Month events with a keynote address from actor Mark Daniel Cade. In the address, titled “Hello Hollywood!,” Cade will speak about being a black man in show business. The event will take place Tuesday, February 7, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in Gamble Auditorium. It is free and open to all.

Cade received a B.F.A. in musical theatre from the University of Michigan and an M.F.A. in acting from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. Cade has accumulated a diverse and impressive array of acting credits in films, television shows, and stage productions. He played Paul in the Broadway National Tour of Six Degrees of Separation and has had major roles in various off-Broadway and regional productions. Cade held numerous recurring roles in daytime television series, such as General Hospital and All My Children, before moving on to recurring costar and guest-star roles in prime-time shows such as Friends, The OC, Providence, and Diagnosis: Murder. Cade has also taken on a handful of lead and supporting roles in feature-length films; most recently, he finished work as the lead actor in True Men, a psychological thriller due out in late 2006 or 2007.

For more information on Cade’s address or other Black History Month events, contact the Office of Student Programs at x2478.
