Mark Daniel Cade to Speak at MHC February 7
The
College will kick off its Black History Month events with a keynote
address
from
actor Mark Daniel Cade. In the address,
titled “Hello
Hollywood!,” Cade will speak about being a black man in show
business. The event will take place Tuesday, February 7, from 7:30
to 9:30 pm in Gamble Auditorium. It is free and open to all.
Cade
received a B.F.A. in musical theatre from the University of Michigan
and an M.F.A. in acting from the American Conservatory
Theatre in San Francisco. Cade has accumulated a diverse and
impressive array of acting credits in films, television shows,
and stage productions.
He played Paul in the Broadway National Tour of Six Degrees
of Separation and has had major roles in various off-Broadway
and regional productions. Cade held numerous recurring roles
in daytime
television series, such as General Hospital and All
My Children,
before moving on to recurring costar and guest-star roles in
prime-time shows such as Friends, The OC, Providence,
and Diagnosis:
Murder.
Cade has also taken on a handful of lead and supporting roles
in feature-length films; most recently, he finished work as the
lead
actor in True Men, a psychological thriller due out
in late 2006 or 2007.
