ISRAELI
COLLEGE STUDENTS TO DISCUSS LIFE IN ISRAEL
DURING APRIL 1 VISIT TO MOUNT HOLYOKE
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass.
Three Israeli college students will visit Mount Holyoke
on Tuesday, April 1 for a discussion of the experience of life
in Israel. The students, who are part of Israel at Heart, an independent,
nonprofit group now touring American college campuses, will speak
at 6:30 PM in the lounge of Eliot House, the College's center
for religious and spiritual life. Their appearance, sponsored
by the Jewish Student Union and the Israeli Consulate, is open
to the public.
The students, chosen
for the diversity they represent, will be able to give a firsthand
account of the reality of life in a country that many know only
through news reports. Israel at Heart is committed to promoting
a better understanding of Israel and its people and does not represent
any government agency or political party.
Members of Israel
at Heart have made appearances in California, Texas, Colorado,
Arizona, Florida, Georgia, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois,
Pennsylvania, and Washington DC, speaking at colleges, high schools,
synagogues, media outlets, political arenas, and other similar
venues.
