EARTH WEEK 2000 AT MOUNT HOLYOKE COLLEGE
APRIL, 2000
South Hadley, MABeginning April 13, a series of Earth Day-related events will take place at Mount Holyoke College to explore environmental and cultural issues relating to the state of our Earth. The events include speakers, communication forums, community service activities, and music. All events are sponsored by the Center for Environmental Literacy at Mount Holyoke College.

Trash Demonstration- Learn the how-tos of recycling & composting. There will be a day-long display of trash from college dorms located on Skinner Green. Demonstration by the Campus Conservation Coalition. |

Deep Ecology Workshop. Kaela Vronsky will conduct a 3-hour long workshop introducing deep ecology philosophy. |

Global Warming Forum with Mount Holyoke College professors and students. Forum by the Center for Environmental Literacy and the Campus Conservation Coalition. |

Vernal Pool Walk. Join Center for Environmental Literacy staff member Peter Houlihan as he leads a group through Mount Holyokes campus to discover and identify vernal pools. |

Spoken Word Retrospective Marky Ramone, drummer of the Ramones, will give a multimedia retrospective entitled "Ramones Around the World" at MHC on April 21 at 8 PM. His presentation will include behind-the-scenes information about the punk band. Presented by WMHC 91.5 and the Office of Student Activities at Mount Holyoke.
