Mount Holyoke College Annual May Pageant
Mount Holyoke students will continue an annual celebration of spring:
the May Pageant. The celebration will take place at Mount Holyoke
College, Skinner Green, on April 29, 2005. Spring fair starts
at 3 p.m.; May Pole dance at 4 p.m..
The event will include an open fair, performance from Diversions,
and the traditional May Pole dance. Vendors will be on the green
selling wares and there will be an exhibit of archival photographs
of previous MHC May Pageants.
The event is open to Five-College students, staff, faculty, alumnae,
friends, and the wider community, and is appropriate for small
children. Admission is free. Come join in this special festival
to welcome spring!
Also: “The Goddess Is Alive” Film Festival. Perspectives
on what ancient and modern goddess-oriented cultures have to offer
in the 21st century. April 27 & 28 at 7 p.m. Dwight Hall,
Mount Holyoke College. Facilitated discussion to follow.
The May Pageant is sponsored by Eliot House the Office of Religious
Life, and the May Pageant Committee.
