CHRISTMAS MAGIC RETURNS TO OLD SOUTH CHURCH IN BOSTON:
Popular Annual Vespers Concert Set for December 7, 2001
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass— The Christmas season is fast approaching
and with it the annual Mount Holyoke College Christmas Vespers Concert.
The concert will return to Old South Church in Boston on Friday,
December 7, 2001 at 8 PM. Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased
by contacting Cerise Jalelian at 781-861-7446 or 978-774-7123.
Some two hundred students, nearly ten percent of the Mount Holyoke
College student body, are featured. Performers include the Mount
Holyoke College Glee Club, Chamber Singers and Concert Choir directed
by Catherine Melhorn and Mark Bartley, the English Handbell Choir
led by Mount Holyoke College student Lauren Wiggins, the Mount Holyoke
College Jazz ensemble directed by Mark Gionfriddo, and other artists.
The program will feature traditional Christmas music including a
candlelight chant processional and seasonal choral works.
The church is located at 546 Boylston Street in Boston, Massachusetts.
