Take the Lead!

Each fall, 40 outstanding high school women from across the country come to Mount Holyoke to participate in an intensive weekend leadership program. With the help of MHC student mentors, who are trained by the College’s Weissman Center for Leadership, these high school leaders develop plans for action projects addressing such issues as the death penalty, homophobia, and protecting the environment. They also gain invaluable skills in team building, public speaking, generating publicity, community organizing, fundraising, conflict resolution, and time management.
