Public Safety Update
December 23, 2004
In the case against a UMass student of the vandalism of student art work at an exhibition in Blanchard, the student was ordered by the court to pay restitution, to make a written apology to the student, and to attend six mandatory AA meetings.
No decision has been made in the most recent cell phone calls to the same student, and the case has been referred to state police investigators for further investigation.
The case of the homophobic emails to a different student was continued, as the suspect is living in Tennessee. His attorney requested a new date of January 28.
