Public Safety Update

The people who placed sexually harassing phone calls to our student on November 26 were both Hampshire College students. The Rochester, NY police anddistrict attorney’s offices, where the calls were placed, have declined to prosecute. Disciplinary action has been taken at Hampshire and both students have been placed on social probation (which at Hampshire includes parental notification). The student who placed the call had been immediately trespassed from Mount Holyoke; the student whose phone was used was subsequently also trespassed.
