Dean of the College

The Dean of the College, Penny Gill, coordinates the curricular and co-curricular life of Mount Holyoke College students and oversees all forms of student advising. She oversees the administration of educational policies and regulations, as directed by the faculty. Her office handles all requests for transfers, leaves of absence and withdrawals, and special majors. She oversees the work of the Dean of Students and the Dean of Studies, as well as college health services and the counseling center, residential life, student organizations and student programs, the office of religious life, and support for students with disabilities. The full implementation of the Honor Code and the work of the Honor Code Council are supported by the Dean, as are many college initiatives on diversity and inclusion. She serves on the Multi-Cultural and College Life Committee and the Academic Policy Committee.
